Where have I been??

Wow, it has been officially to months since my last blog post. Can you say slacker?? I have aged a whole year. :) I am now the big 1-8. I am legal! I can do everything but drink. lol. I enjoyed my birthday which was yesterday. I had an absolute blast.

On Tuesday, I went to a Carolina Tarheel basketball game, and guess what, Carolina won!! It's a first! Usually when I go see teams play in person, they lose. I think I brought some much needed luck to the Heels!!

Yesterday, I went to see The Tourist starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp. This movie was really intriguing. I was pretty much confused the entire time. It was almost like Salt starring Angelina Jolie. The movies she has been in lately have been really good.

Last night, I saw this movie called The Skeleton Key starring Kate Hudson. This movie was kind of scary. It was like an O. Henry story; it had a really weird ending that I wasn't expecting. I will not spoil any of the mentioned movies for anyone because I can't stand when someone ruins a movie for me.

I have to read 6 more books to say I have read all of Nicholas Sparks' books. Right now, I am reading The Guardian which was ruined for me, but I am reading it anyway. :) It is okay. At this moment, it is hard for me to say if it is good or not because I am only on page 208.

I have read so many books in the last two months that I couldn't name or remember the name of all. I downloaded WeREad on my facebook just so I could keep track of all the books I have read.
I am thinking about becoming an English or Communications professor. Don't get me wrong, but I still want to become a journalist. But you always have to have a plan to fall back on, therefore, I will be going to college multiple times to prepare for my backup plan. I know how hard it is to get into the business of journalism. It takes hard work and determination. A pursuant of a career in journalism must be tenacious. All of these things I am, but there is someone out there that wants it just as bad as I do. When thinking about a career, one must plan for these things. Oh, and children.

My dad said that I need to start having kids around the age of 25. That is only 7 years from now!!! OMGOODNESS!! LOL

Well, that's all for now!! PEACE!

Fall Fashions

I have really been liking the cardigan, tee, and skinny jean look. I will definitely be wearing this outfit with a cute pair of slouchy boots or ankle booties.

Another look I have been liking, that I definitely will wear is the long-sleeve shirt or sweater with a scarf and skinny jeans. To top it all off with ugg boots.

or real UGGS!! :)
Well that's all for now....sorry for the underlining at the end!

Long Time...No Blog?

Wow, has it been a long time since my last blog?? I think so! Well to start out, being a senior is pretty stressful. I have a lot to do from college apps to homework to sports to financial aid and scholarships. Do you understand what I'm saying. So much to do so little time. But I do understand this is preparing for the "most important" part of my life....my future.

Recently, I took a trip to my local library and checked out 3 books: The Devil Wears Prada, My Sister's Keeper, and The Great Gatsby. I have already started The Devil Wears Prada, and it is nothing like the movie. The book just serves as a basis of inspiration for the movie. I think I might like to movie better. I haven't yet started on the other two books, but I have to start soon since they are due back at the library next Saturday. (I have already extended them once!) I only have a few pages left in The Devil Wears Prada, and the next book I will be starting is My Sister's Keeper. I only picked up The Great Gatsby because I was doing a report on F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Because college application due dates are rolling around, I think I have my choices narrowed down. I think the whole world knows that Carolina is the school for me! :) At least I know, that's all that counts until I submit my application.

I'm wondering has anyone else been to Citi Trends? It's a nice store for Spirit Week at school, but other than that I do not think I would wear any of their clothes. Their clothes do not fit my style. My mom did buy many of their books though. She could not make up her mind which books she wanted to buy. She justified this by saying, "This book is only $1.99!" Wow, mom. :)

Well, I think I have blogged enough for now. I will definitely have to keep this blog up!! I want to be a legit journalist one day, and as my dad says, I need to be practicing!

Peace!! Oh, I'm sorry...deuces!

It's the Middle of the Night ;)

So what do I do in the middle of the night? Obviously, I remember my forgotten blog! Wow, it has really been a while! I have been super-busy with school, sports, and college!

Oh, by the way...I GOT UNC MAIL!! Haha! Wow! Excited much? Well, anyway.

Last night, I went to homecoming at the public high school...I go to the private one...and I had a ton of fun. I got to see all my friends! It was a blast. I sat with my best friend, and we got to catch up!

I am deep into college apps, scholarship apps, and a bunch of your basic average high school senior stuff! CLASS of 2011! My daddy says I have senioritis! :)

Well I guess, I'll go now!! Peace!

Senior Year!!

Wow, it's been sooo long since I last blogged. It's quite a shame to call myself a journalist. I am going to have to "get it together"!

I have been going to volleyball games since the beginning of August. I'm thinking about playing volleyball at the next level...that's how much fun I have been having! (If I feel I can't make the basketball team..Have you seen Carolina's basketball team?) I think volleyball season is a good way to start off senior year!

SO on to the most important part of this blog...SCHOOL STARTED MONDAY!!! I am officially into my last year of high school. I am taking Pre-Cal and Chemistry......Government and Personal Finances......Bible and English 4......I help a teacher out during my free period.......and I am on the Yearbook Committee. I think this is going to be a good year!! We have been having fun times in class and out of class.

I am helping out the first and second grade teacher. I have a bit of nostalgia. The kids talk about going upstairs (that's where the high school classes are located), and I think to myself....You will get there soon enough!

I hope this is the best year ever!!!
Peace, love, class of 2011!! :)

UNC, Message in a Bottle, Basically an UPDATE

On Friday of last week I went to UNC Chapel Hill. I am pretty sure I have already stated that's my dream school. My campus visit only strengthened my desire to want to attend.

I also stopped by NCCU. I didn't too much care for the school. I have this gut feeling (kind of like that gut feeling of Leroy Jethrow Gibbs) that helps me know whether a school is right for me. I also second-guess myself to know that a school is right for me. Like how I now take back the statement I said about NC State in a previous blog post because I am contemplating sending them an application. Well, that's enough about my college life.

Saturday, we went to the Carolina Panther FanFest where I got to see Jimmy Claussen play. I watched his college career at Notre Dame on television, and now I finally saw him play in real life. Claussen is really good.

Now to my reads. I just finished Message in a Bottle. I thought the book was really good. I just so happened to be almost done with the book when the movie came on Lifetime. I was only a few pages from the end, so I wrapped the book up and finished it in time to watch the movie. Let me just say the movie was completely different from the book. As a matter of fact, the movie stunk compared to the book. I probably will not watch the movie again!!!

I also purchased Pretty Little Liars! I am completely obsessed with the show so I am super-excited to start reading the book! I will probably do a critique of that book too.

I also started The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but I could not finish it because I didn't really like it. It wasn't as intriguing as I thought it would be. Not a big page-turner, in my opinion; but everyone else seems to be enjoying it because the series of books are all best-sellers!

Well, going to go now!
Peace, Love, JC, and JB!

CAMP!!!

Camp...every teens least favorite words. Well at least where I live they were. Until we went to camp.

Last Sunday (July 25th), my fellow schoolmates and I boarded bus, van, and car to go to camp. I was definitely dreading this separation from technology!! I could not watch youtube, Pretty Little Liars, the Secret Life, and most importantly NCIS!!

While at camp, we heard awesome preaching! Bryan Beaver gave us his inspirational words from God two, sometimes even three times a day. I enjoyed hearing what he had to say....he was comedic and serious.

My counselor was absolutely awesome!! She was extremely nice! She called us her favorite campers!! My cabinmates absolutely loved being in her cabin, especially one of my classmates/best friends because of our last counselor. Our last counselor would say "I'm going to brush my teeth, I'll be right back." and leave for hours upon hours! It was refreshing to have someone who actually cared about our spiritual and physical well-being.

I came back from camp with a new mindset. Yes, I did indeed miss my youtube, PLL, Secret Life, and NCIS; but I was able to catch up on it! But the Word of God should always be first and foremost on any Christians list. Thus, I will be trying to read my Bible daily! I will not be as immersed in the Scripture as I am now when I leave for college next year; so I am preparing myself by reading His Word daily. This will also strengthen my walk with Christ!

By the way, my whole school has come back just as revived as I am. We are all willing to show that we have Christ to thank for our happiness because we are walking with Him daily!

SO the point of this story is to share that THIS WAS THE BEST WEEK OF CAMP EVER!!
Oh, and BIG BLUE reigns again!! Yeah, each time I have been to camp my team has one! UNDEFEATED!! :)

This has definitely got to be the best opening to any senior year ever!!

Peace, Love, Jesus Christ, and JB!! ;)

Wow Blog I Have Seemingly Let You GO!!

It has been a while since my last blog post. I am ashamed to say I want to be a journalist...and I can't even keep up a blog. I'll try to get better with it.

I went to the library the other day and checked out some of my must-reads. I checked out House Rules, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, and Message in a Bottle. I am a few pages from being done with House Rules and let me tell you it is a pretty good book. It might even be making its way to one of my favorites. I will give my opinion of it later, hopefully, unless I completely forget about my blog like I have in the past.

This is just a quick blog to let you know I haven't completely forgotten!
Love, Peace, and JB!!!

ECLIPSE!!!

While I was in New York, I saw Eclipse. It was extremely awesome!! I totally was so glad I am Team Jacob! Edward is too protective over Bella which was really annoying! I thought it was bad in the book, but Robert Pattinson made it worse in the movie!

It did live up to my expectations. My favorite book may just be my favorite movie. My dad asked why couldn't Jacob put on a shirt, then later he said all those werewolves need to put on a shirt!

My absolute favorite part of the movie was when Jake told Edward to "Face it, I am hotter than you!" Hilarious!!!

All in all, it was an awesome movie!! I can't wait for the next one!

Peace, Love, and Jacob Black! :)

I Love NYC

I think I am officially a city girl, or at least want to live in the city after I graduate from college! On my trip to New York, I realized I want to live in Manhattan near Times Square! I had a really good time navigating through the city that never sleeps-but I got some rest! :) I saw Times Square, rode the Subway, ate at the original Sbarro, saw three boroughs-Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens.

We lived like natives besides the fact that we stayed in a hotel. I learned many new things like how to take a subway and many more things. I like being in the big city. I also find being around so many cultures exciting. I saw many cultures from Jews to Russians. I would see people that I thought were American that would turn around and start blabbing off in another language! Weird!

I saw Eclipse in New York....I think that deserves a separate blog post, don't you?

Well, I could say a ton more...but I think I might save that for later when I become a famous journalist!

Peace, LoVe, and JB-Jo Bros. or Jacob Black!

One More Day!!

I am truly excited.....I am going North to New York City also know as the Big Apple!! I am ready to go!! I want to see and do everything! I want to go to Times Square, ride in the Subway, catch a taxi, and eat their very well-known pizza! I want to see all the sights. I hope I get a chance to see everything.

We are taking the train, so I will have to find something to do for like 12 hours. I hope I can get a book or something! I hope I can get one of the series books that I have been wanting or a Nicholas Sparks' book!

I was on borders.com yesterday, and I found a book called Summer at Tiffany's. Now anyone who knows what kind of books I am into knows that I am not a huge fan of nonfiction. The only nonfiction book I actually enjoyed was Multiple Blessings. I am actually excited to read Summer at Tiffany's. Hopefully I will be able to find it and possibly buy it!

I also saw Charlie St. Cloud. I kind of want to read that book. As you probably know, I am huge fan of books-turned-movies so I am interested in reading this book. I am also a huge fan of Zac Efron so I definitely want to see the movie.

I still haven't seen Eclipse yet. My mom said something about going tonight, or we might go tomorrow! I hope I get to see it before I head North. I have really been wanting to see Eclipse since I saw New Moon on November 21st. SO not seeing for almost a week now is really paining me! :)

Well, that's all for now folks!
Peace, Love, and Jacob Black!

TWO DAYS

In two days, I will be in the biggest city in the world, NEW YORK CITY!!! I absolutely can't wait!!

I hope to see Eclipse tonight. I have been hoping to see it all weekend, though. :)

This is just a quick blog.......Yeah, I mean very quick. Like it is over now.
Peace, Love, and Jacob Black!

PS: Jacob Black is on my shirt!!! lol

Eclipse

Eclipse is out!! I am super-excited!! I hope to go see it tomorrow, then I can post a pointless blog on how AWESOME it is!! Eclipse is my absolute favorite book in the Saga so I am hoping it will also be my favorite movie. I <3 style="font-style: italic;">Pride and Prejudice, Wuthering Heights, Sense and Sensibility, Emma, Persuasion, Romeo and Juliet, and probably many more books.

So I officially want to read too many books.......... the Pretty Little Liars series and Blue Bloods series are on the top of the list. I also want to read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. They look very interesting. I forget the Airhead series and Gossip Girl series either. I am also thinking about reading the House of Night series. So was I right about wanting to read too many books, the ones I mentioned before are just half of the ones I want to read. Those are just the ones I want to read most.

Well, gotta go, dinnertime!!
Peace, love, Jacob Black, and Eclipse!! <3>

Confessions of a Shopaholic

At this moment while I am typing, I am watching Confessions of a Shopaholic. I really want to read the book my Sophie Kinsella...I might have already said that. I have noticed a trend with my favorite movies....most of the main characters are journalists! I think that may be because I want to be a journalist! :) My favorite part of the movie is when she was in the elevator with Derek Smeath. She decided to call him to see if that was him, and he returned the call! lol

I got The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. I liked the fact that I was reading the same story as Eclipse from a different point of view. I hope that Stephenie Meyer writes a book from Edward's point of view. One of my Twilight buddies sent me an e-mail with a "book" from Edward's point of view, but I hate, hate, hate reading online.

I have a huge list of books I want to read. The list keeps getting longer and longer. I have always loved reading. When I was a child, I got a new book everytime I went into Wal-Mart, Waldenbooks, Borders, Books-a-Million, and Barnes & Nobles.

Next week, my brother and I are going to basketball camp!! I get to brush up on my mad skillz!! :) Then on Saturday, I am going to see Eclipse with my bestie. On Thursday the 8th, I am leaving for New York City!!! I am going big!!! I am super-duper-excited to go. I went when I was 3 years old, but I don't remember what NYC was like.

Well gonna go now!!
Peace and Love!! <3

It's Getting Hot in Here!! SUMMER IS HERE!!!

It is absolutely hot.....this can only mean one thing, summer is here. Exciting, right??!! Yeah, ok this is exciting; but it is hot. We will all be walking around sweating and complaining! Yippee!!

I have an obsession with NCIS. I have watched so many episodes since school got out. I have even seen some episodes twice. I have always liked NCIS, but now I know how Director Shepherd and Kate left the show. Another thing that bugs me is the fact that Ziva and DiNozzo just need to face the facts and date!! I also realized that is one of the main reasons why I watch the show so it would be no fun anymore because I can't scream at them that they really need to be together. Oh yeah, did I mention that NCIS is on right now? :)

I am so glad it is summer, but I now I am finishing up my college apps!! Yeah, boy! Next year this time, I will be shopping, packing, and preparing for my newest journey college! :)

Well, it is storming here, so I am going to go!!
Peace!

"What time is it?? SUMMERTIME!!!"

I am totally loving this summer thing!!! Since Friday the 4th, I have been going around singing, "What time is it?? SUMMERTIME!!" Now, I am watching the movie!!! Gotta love summer, right?!!?! Now all I need is a car...and my summer will be complete.

I am thinking about getting a job at the radio station I interned at. That way I can make the most of my summer. Car and all.

I desperately want to hit up the beach right now. I will settle for a pool though. I wish my parents would just say"YESS, we can get a pool!" That would be totally awesome.

So I don't know if I already critiqued The Choice or not. The book was pretty good, just like the rest of the Nicholas Sparks' books. I enjoyed Part One better than Part Two though. It wasn't as depressing as the other books.

I also finished American Diva in like 2 days. That book was a little too adult in my opinion. I highly doubt I will read it again. I think Julia London went into a little to much detail. Way too much detail!!!!!!

Well, going to say "Goodbye" because NCIS comes on in 2 minutes; and I am very hungry!!
Well peace out!!

Oh....and I am sorry about the font change!! :(

Senior??? Class of 2011

Today, this last day of school 2009-2010, I reminisce about the many good times we had this year!! I think about all the basketball games, field trip, and English classes! I am super glad to be done with Spanish for high school.

Today, I received A-honor roll and Highest GPA. Anatomy and Physiology was weighted...Thank you, Lord!!! I am officially a senior!!

Today was the day that no one in my class thought would come. Now, we are saying "hallelujah" and shouting praises!

I am really glad it's summer!! So many things to do-swimming, vacationing, hitting up the beach.

Well go to go NCIS awaits.....
Peace, Love, Class of 2011

College Rut

So I am midway through the Choice, and I am starting to think that this book might actually be the one of the best Nicholas Sparks books ever!!! Wow, I know I probably say that about all of his books; but it's true! :) I think I am just obsessed with Nicholas Sparks' books. I will attempt to review the book later.

So I am thinking hard and long about college. What school should I make my third and fourth choices are my impending questions. I know UNC Chapel Hill and Wake Forest are my first two, but a change in plans caused me to question my third and fourth choices. Now, I am stuck in a college rut. I hope to visit a ton of colleges this summer, starting with my first two choices and ending with Elon, ECU, and many, many more colleges.

Only 9 and a half days until I am officially a high school senior!!! My classmates and I are so excited! I am pretty sure the topic comes up at least once everyday. Let me just tell you that our seniors are so ready to leave it isn't even funny. They talk about getting their diplomas just as much as we talk about graduating.

Well, I guess it's time to go. Peace out!!

Only 12 Days of School

On the thirteenth day before school gets out, our English teacher decided to give us a literature quiz that everybody failed. Why??? Who knows...then we discussed the political aspects of 1984 by George Orwell. Yeah that pretty much stunk.

Well I finished the Lucky One. I was starting to get scared at the end. Why you may ask, because the prologue started with Beth going to the cemetery to take flowers to the grave. I for real thought Logan had died. I even started crying and saying," NO WAY!" Honestly, I was very happy to read that Logan was walking towards her. I was especially happy to hear her say that he was hers forever. That book wasn't the best Nicholas Sparks book, but it was good. Next on my Nicholas Sparks list to read is the Choice. I am excited to start it. I might start it tonite.

One of my biggest pet peeves is people smacking their gum. Kind of like the way my brother is smacking his gum right now. The more he smacks the more agitated I become. That is why I am typing all hard and mad.....it really URKS ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I am too agitated to type right now...so I will say Adios!!!

My Journalist's Sentence of the Day

So on Sunday I got two new books to add to my wonderful collection... the Choice by Nicholas Sparks and American Diva by Julia London. We went into Books-A-Million, and I went absolutely crazy. I saw most of the books on my reading list, but most were too expensive. Who would pay $17.00 for a paperback book? Well, that is how much Jodi Picoult's paperback books are. I saw some at Sam's Club, but they were some of the books that I didn't want to read. But guess what, I now want to read one of them named Salem Falls. At Books-A-Million, I picked out a Meg Cabot Airhead series book, but I was told my budget was $10. The book was $9.99. But how could I a Nicholas Sparks obsessed person give up on getting the Choice hardcover for $6.97? I absolutely couldn't. I told Meg Cabot she could wait.

I started on my new book today. I still don't have a title, but I have a direction in which to go. It's a start. This book will be my summer project. I hope to have it finished by the time I get to school. Maybe, just maybe, I can find someone who would be nice enough to publish it. I can become one of those high school prodigies. :) I have already written a book. I wrote it when I was in 5th grade almost 7 years ago. I thought it was time to write another one. Well, I did start another one; but I kind of lost my manuscript.

In English class, we have to write a narrative with a moral. I have no stories or memories of my own that have a moral to them. I never did anything wrong like that. Maybe I could write a story about my memories of my Grandma. That is a good idea. My daddy says I should write about how practice makes a basketball player a better player. I don't know, but I will certainly have to find a topic.

I am glad the Celtics won yesterday. They finally kicked into gear!! Thank goodness. It will probably come to the seventh game. Come on Celtics!!! Champions 2010!!!

We got our yearbooks today. My parents say I am plastered all over it. My daddy said it's probably because my secret admirer is on the yearbook staff. Parents. :)

Well, that is all for now. I am all hot and sweaty from playing basketball outside. I have a ton of mosquito bites and should probably jump in the shower. Well, I think that is what I am about to do, jump in the shower.

Peace out!!

Mother's Day in the Wee Hours of the Morning

Hey people!! Today, I tried to finish up my college class Intro to Political Science; but I just can't seem to do it. I did at least get most of the assignments done, and all I have left to do is ONE test!! I am really hoping to make an A in this class. This class has taught me one very important thing....I really don't want to go into politics...unless I am reporting the newest gossip, etc. But as for being a politician.....no thank you.

We got progress reports Friday....and I have all A's and 1 B. That B is in Anatomy and Physiology. That class is so hard, but I only missed two on the test Friday. I am so proud of myself.

Senior year is fast approaching. I am actually kind of ready, but I am more ready for the summer of fun. I have so many things to do from camp to vacations. It's the first summer in a long time that we practically have something to do every week. July being the busiest month of the summer. For this reason, I don't want to take any college classes over the summer. I want to take the class in person, and it is hard to be in class when I am in another state or county. So, I guess I will just start back up in the fall.

As for the college applications, I think I finally have my mind made up about what schools I am applying to. I mean Syracuse is pretty far away.....and it gets pretty cold in upstate New York during the winter. Maybe Syracuse is a good place to get my master's degree, but as for now, I will stick to the warmer states. The more southern states or western states (Cali!! baby!!) lol.

Friday, my mommy and I watched 27 Dresses. That movie was pretty good. It's better than what people told me it would be like. I like how at the end Jane had her bridesmaids wear all 27 of their own bridesmaid's dresses. That was pretty hilarious. I told my mom that I didn't want to have many friends so I wouldn't have to wear their ugly bridesmaid's dresses. :)

Yup...well it's late and it's Mother's Day. By the way, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!
Going to sleep now....hopefully...or I may just read the Lucky One.

Peace out!!!

25 Days until I'm Officially a HS Senior!!

Exciting news.... I'll be a senior in exactly 25 days!! This means that this next year will be the last year of boring high school things. The closer I get to becoming a senior, the more excited I become!! At the beginning of the school year everytime I heard someone mention the word senior, I would tear up and begin crying. Now, I get so excited and immediately start naming off colleges for undergrad and grad school. Then, I get all super duper excited and start naming off the places I want to live and where I want to work----ESPN!!!

"I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!!" Song references-my best friend says that I have a song for everything, but I know someone who has a song for everything..my fellow compadres. :)

More exciting news...I got the Lucky One today. I am pumped to read it. Partly because I haven't read a good book in a while. As I mentioned before, I have been trying to read Loves Music, Loves to Dance and the Blind Side for a few months now..and I just can't seem to finish them. I will eventually, but right now I have an awesome book to add to my Nicholas Sparks obsession!

Well, it's back to school this week for another 25 days!! Yippee!!
Well p3ac3 out!! :)

Only 480 something days left to rot in high school

So this week my friend, Emily counted up the days we had left in high school; and the grand total came to 493 as of Monday or Tuesday!!! Wow, time really flies. Who would have thought that the class of 2011 would be graduating so soon? Definitely not me.

This news is somewhat good and bad. On the upside, no more uniforms, stupid high school boys, and all that high school drama. Oh, and that important thing called COLLEGE!!! On the downside, I will be away from my family that I love soo much, away from my high school friends, and no more home-cooked meals!!

Well, that is a lot to think about. What is that you may ask?? That would be these wonderful words called MY FUTURE. I have goals...go to UNC major in journalism and minor in mass communications and history, go to law school, and get my master's degree in mass communications. Oh, live in New York City, Washington, DC, or Chicago after living in the ATL or Chucktown and work for ESPN!! So many goals, so little time...at least that is how it feels.

Time is flying by. I can remember being in K-4 with all my little buddies!! Good times. I can also remember dreaming of the day I would turn 16, get my license, and drive my VW Beetle. Well, all these moments have passed; and all I have left are the memories...oh, so many memories.

As for my reads, I am trying to finish Loves Music, Loves to Dance and The Blind Side, but they are pretty hard to read. I have this extremely long list of books I want to read. Might as well put this list on here.

The Host, Kissed by an Angel, At First Sight, Message in a Bottle, The Choice, True Believer, The Wedding, The Lucky One, Secret Life of Bees, My Sister's Keeper, The Time Traveler's Wife, House Rules, and Runaway. That is just half of the books I want to read considering that I want to read all of Nicholas Sparks', Jane Austen's, Jodi Picoult's, and Meg Cabot's books. In due time, I hope to have read them all....like maybe when I have graduated from UNC.

Well, I guess I have blogged long enough for today!! Peace out homies!! Much love!!

ACC Barnstorming Tour

On Thursday, my dad, brother, and I headed out to the high school to see what we thought would be the ACC All-Stars. These all-stars included Jon Scheyer of Duke, Nolan Smith of Duke, Ishmael Smith of Wake Forest, and Marcus Ginyard of UNC. All except for Marcus Ginyard didn't show, and even though Ginyard showed up, he didn't play.

The people that did show played extremely well. They really whooped our local high school all-stars. They were all a foot taller too. The people that did show included Brian Zoubek of Duke, L.D. Williams of Wake Forest, Lance Thomas of Duke, and Deon Thompson of UNC. Trust me, there were way more people on the all-star team than that.

They signed autographs after the game, and I got the autographs of the people listed above (Zoubek, Thompson, Williams, and Thomas) and another Carolina player, James Gallagher. I was really excited!! I took pictures with the two Carolina players!!!

As I was walking out of the door to go home, I spotted UNC star Marcus Ginyard and quickly fast-walked to get his autograph only to hear the most depressing words, "I am sorry, but I'm not signing any more autographs." Now if I had been the outspoken person I sometimes wish I was, I would have said,"You haven't even signed one, let alone any more!!" But since I'm not that outspoken, I just bottled up my speech to Ginyard until I was walking to the car with my dad and brother. So much for getting all autographs of the UNC players present at the game.

Well, I guess my spill was long enough!!
Gonna go now! PEACE OUT!!!

March Madness-ENDED!!!

In my earlier blog that I just posted not even five minutes ago, I forgot to mention March Madness is over!! I am very upset, yet happy to see that the championship returned to Tobacco Road!!
I am proud of Duke, even though they are Carolina's rival. They kept the ACC/North Carolina tradition alive!!! A true North Carolinian would understand this concept! :)

I am happy as long as the championship stays between UNC, Duke, Wake Forest, and NC State-and maybe even some other ACC schools!!

Well, time to go, again. :)

UPDATE!!! WHERE HAVE I BEEN???

Hey Peeps (Man, I want some of those since I missed out on them over the Easter holiday)!!! I will just update you guys about what I've done over the past two weeks!!!

Last Saturday, I got to see the Last Song!! I must say Miley Cyrus did a good job acting!!! The part that made me mad about the movie is they left Pastor Harris out. If you do not know, Pastor Harris was an essential part of the book!! That really made me mad!!

Easter Sunday, we youth put on our usual Easter speeches which I must say went over successfully!! Thank you Jesus!! :)

Throughout last week, I went to WAYN and interned!! I really enjoyed myself. I now know my calling in life broadcasting/journalism!! I was all nervous trying to figure out what to say before I said it, but when I did speak it just came to me naturally. I love, love, love the communications field.

Last night, I rented a few movies-Sherlock Holmes, I Can Do Bad All by Myself, and A Walk to Remember. Sherlock Holmes has to be the awesomest, new action film I have seen so far (Clash of the Titans might just steal that spot). I liked the plot, and from the way the movie ended, I can pretty much tell when Robert Downey, Jr. gets done with Ironman 2, he will definitely be making another Sherlock Holmes. I Can Do Bad All by Myself was a good movie, not one of my favorites though. A Walk to Remember was good, but it differed from the book in many ways. The book was set in 1958, whereas the movie was set in the 21st century. Also, Landon's parents were divorced; and his father was a cardiologist, not a politician.

Next week, my school is headed on a field trip to Charleston!! We are going to spend the night on the battleship!! How awesome??? I am super-excited to go on this trip, even though I have already been. Instead of going to Fort Sumter, this time we will be exploring Charleston Harbor!! That is where my parents were married, so I am really looking forward to this trip.

Well, that's all for now folks!!! :)

My Nicholas Sparks Obsession

Here is the blog about all the Nicholas Sparks' books I have read!! I'll start with my absolute favorite-only because they are all some of my favorite books.

Dear John is my absolute favorite. This book is a story of a soldier who fell in love on his leave. John meets a girl named Savannah who is building houses for Habitat for Humanity during her spring break. I think my favorite part of the book would have to do with the fact that Savannah attends UNC!!! Go Heels!! But anyway, this book is my absolute favorite. I don't know why, but it just is.

The Last Song is a good because it's a story about a girl my age. Ever since I started reading, I have always loved to read about people my age. This book is about a girl who falls in love while visiting her estranged father for the summer.

The Notebook is good partly because that is my one of my favorite movies and also because it is just an overall good book. I know I keep saying this about all the other books, but it really is. This book is about a girl that falls in love again with her first love, although she is engaged. DRAMA!!! :)

A Walk to Remember is morally my favorite book. Landon did not have to marry Jamie, but he did which makes the book way cool!! I am at a loss for words for these books, sorry.

If you notice a trend, all of these books are movies. I also have a tendency to read books-turned-movies or vice versa. The next book on my list is The Lucky One. Then I will read hopefully both At First Sight and The Wedding. Maybe by the time I graduate from college I will have read most of his books-new releases and old ones.

Well, my book for this week is To Kill a Mockingbird, and my goal is to finish the majority of the books I have started within the last 6 months-The Blind Side, Loves Music, Loves to Dance, and the Lovely Bones. The Lovely Bones is kinda creeping me out though; so I doubt I will finish it in the upcoming weeks.

Well, that is all for now folks!!! Hope everyone has a good Easter weekend!!!!
Remember the reason!!!

College Road Trip-Part 1

This weekend my friend and I went to Meredith College and NC State. This trip was so much fun!! I really enjoyed myself.
First, we went to Meredith. The more I heard from the people at Meredith, the more interested I was in the school except for one thing-it's an all-girls school!!! NO BOYS!! This information is somewhat depressing because boys are a major part in the college hunt and overall college lifestyle-at least in my opinion. While at Meredith, I got a chance to talk to the basketball coach. This is a good thing because she asked to see some video of me playing. So now I need to send her some video. I am being recruited!! I haven't officially ruled Meredith out of my college long list.
Second, we went to North Carolina State. This college did not live up to my expectations. I don't know what I thought the inside of the campus would look like. It was just concrete and buildings. What a real bummer!!! So I have officially ruled State off of my college long list. I want to go to school with a little bit grass. I mean come on people, God made grass for a reason, even if I am allergic to it.
Next on my agenda as far as my college road trip is concerned is a trip to the University of North Carolina. You know the one in Chapel Hill!!! Also a trip to Wake Forest is in store. These two schools are my dream schools; so it is necessary that I take a trip to these two schools.
My book for the week is A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks. As I may have mentioned earlier, I am really starting to become obsessed with his books. I borrowed this book from a friend who said that this was her second favorite Nicholas Sparks' book after the Last Song. I find A Walk to Remember to be pretty interesting, especially considering that I haven't gotten to the "love" part yet. I was told that I was going to cry more...I pretty much cried like a baby when I read the Last Song and Dear John. I'll have to talk more about the book later once I have finished reading it. I might just do a comparison of all the Nicholas Sparks books I have read to date. I really want to read some more of his books. They are pretty good.
Well I will go for now, got school in the morning!!

Guess what I got yesterday?!?! I got my copy of New Moon!! I have already watched it twice!!! And there are many more times on the way!!
I absolutely am in love with Jacob Black!!! Go away Edward!! My DVD says go away!! lol. I need to watch the commentary. Last time I watched a Twilight commentary, Rachel and I got a good joke out of it. Thank you Robert Pattinson, your general lack of knowledge for what a gardenburger is helped us with that.
At this exact moment, I am watching the documentary of the making of New Moon. Did I mention my love for Jacob Black?!?!? Yeah, he just showed up in this documentary.
My favorite part of the movie?? Well, let me think. How about the whole movie!! But really, the scene in the movie theater---"Put your gun down or I'll blow your friggin head off!!" Haha!!!
I got the fan copy of New Moon with a sneek peek of Eclipse!! I am super-excited for it!!! June 30th will be awesome!!! I <3>
Well guess I better go!!
Oh and my bracket for march madness is absolutely ruined!! I would personally like to thank Georgetown, Notre Dame, UNM, Villanova, and Kansas. There are probably some more teams, but at this time I have forgotten them.

My awesome, sad weekend

This weekend, I took the dreaded SAT!!! That was the hardest test I think I have ever taken. Not because it was hard, but because it was 4 hours long. I have never taken a test for 4 hours straight. I hope my scores are good though. I will take the SAT again May 1, if you were wondering. I have to take that dreaded test twice-I promised my momma I would.
I hope my scores are high.
The awesome part of my weekend comes in now. NEW MOON COMES OUT IN EXACTLY 6 DAYS!!! This is very exciting!!
Today at church, we had a fire drill. This is weird. Who has ever heard of a church having a fire drill??? Not me. We did get out in record time.......1 minute and 45 seconds!! The fire marshall said we did an excellent job and that we should give ourselves a pat on the back. Our goal was to get out of the church in 2 minutes, and we topped that.
In other news, Kentucky won the SEC championship and is headed to the NCAA tourney!!! Duke won the ACC and is headed to the NCAA!!! So tonight and beginning next week, I will be glued to the television to make sure my bracket matches the true winners of this awesome madness!! Bracketology on ESPN!!!!
Well I have to print out my bracket now!! Peace out, homies!!!

Eclipse Excitement

Today while I was on twitter, I saw a link to the Eclipse 10 second trailer. I immediately became excited and just had to click on the link. I am now excited to see Eclipse!!! Eclipse is my favorite book in the Twilight Saga; so I am especially excited to see this movie!!
I am team Jacob. Well the fact that I am team Jacob comes from a long story. I was originally team Edward. I mean, come on, he is this awesome vampire!! While watching Twilight, I was committed to Edward Cullen. I was in love with "Edward Cullen." Well, things changed when Jacob Black removed those hair extensions! I suddenly felt myself leaning toward team Jacob. He is so werewolf. Now I have concluded that I am team Edward for the books and team Jacob for the movies!! Taylor Lautner is so much cuter that Robert Pattinson in regular life.
Well, I will definitely be there on June 30th especially since there is no school! I hope I can take my bestie!!! We definitely have a few-bunch-of Twilight, Rob, Taylor, and Kristen jokes that are hilarious, at least to us.
Well, this is it for today!! Peace out!! <3

Farmville

FARMVILLE ADDICTS = My #1 annoyance

I played farmville for like 2 minutes today, and I absolutely abhor it!!! Why are people so obsessed with it?? My history teacher is crazy obsessed, so are a few of my family members. :) I love them, but don't get mad if I don't know what I am doing. Sadly, I am anti-farmville!!!!
Well on the flip-side, I have a resume to type up. Even though I am not in the job hunt, my English teacher thought it would be good practice to type up a little hypothetical resume!! Whoo hoo!! Sports journalist all the way baby!!
Another thing....IT'S MARCH MADNESS!!!! It's the time of the year that I print out my awesome brackets, choose who I think is going to win, and watch basketball every moment I am awake and asleep!!! This is my second favorite time of the year after Christmas and Thanksgiving and before summer!!! I wish I could cheer for my Tarheels; but since they stink this year, I guess I will have to root somewhere else. I think I will cheer for my Syracuse Orange!!! Go Orange!!!!
Well, this is the end for today!! God bless!! :) A little Tim Tebow in there for ya!!

1st blog-Why must basketball season end??

I really want to know something, and I always wonder why??? Why must the basketball season come to an end (hints the name)??? As soon as the season starts getting good-IT JUST ENDS!! I mean come on....the NBA plays for what seems like forever!!! WHY CAN'T WE?!?! There's always AAU, but there are no local girls' teams in my age bracket.
So what will I do with my time??? I guess I will work somewhere... I am supposed to be working at a radio station!! YIPPEE!!! Since I want to major in Communications/Journalism, this is a great opportunity for me. I also might intern for the D.A. Yeah, I also want to get my law degree.
I am ready for the next season though----volleyball!! I just want to attack one time. Oh, and jump serve!!! Yeah, all that good stuff!!!
Although this will be my senior year (tear falling down my sad face), I am actually kinda excited to see what's next. I am filling out college apps now...and that dreaded SAT!! AAAAHHH!!! That's some scary stuff!! :)
Oh, and I am also really obsessed with Nicholas Sparks' books!!!! I have read Dear John, the Last Song, and I am really excited to read The Notebook!!! Sad thing is I have to finish reading The Lovely Bones before I can start it!!! Bummer!!
So I am excited because this month and next month are filled with college road trips..oh, and did I mention the SAT??? My bestie and I are hitting up some colleges at the end of the month that I will definitely have to blog about..oh and show some pics.
Well, I guess this blog is long enough. I am obsessed with this blogging stuff, even though it has been around for the longest time. Anywayz, I have to prepare for the Oscars...and my Anatomy and Physiology and Algebra 2 tests that I have been putting off all weekend. BYE!!!
