UNC, Message in a Bottle, Basically an UPDATE

On Friday of last week I went to UNC Chapel Hill. I am pretty sure I have already stated that's my dream school. My campus visit only strengthened my desire to want to attend.

I also stopped by NCCU. I didn't too much care for the school. I have this gut feeling (kind of like that gut feeling of Leroy Jethrow Gibbs) that helps me know whether a school is right for me. I also second-guess myself to know that a school is right for me. Like how I now take back the statement I said about NC State in a previous blog post because I am contemplating sending them an application. Well, that's enough about my college life.

Saturday, we went to the Carolina Panther FanFest where I got to see Jimmy Claussen play. I watched his college career at Notre Dame on television, and now I finally saw him play in real life. Claussen is really good.

Now to my reads. I just finished Message in a Bottle. I thought the book was really good. I just so happened to be almost done with the book when the movie came on Lifetime. I was only a few pages from the end, so I wrapped the book up and finished it in time to watch the movie. Let me just say the movie was completely different from the book. As a matter of fact, the movie stunk compared to the book. I probably will not watch the movie again!!!

I also purchased Pretty Little Liars! I am completely obsessed with the show so I am super-excited to start reading the book! I will probably do a critique of that book too.

I also started The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but I could not finish it because I didn't really like it. It wasn't as intriguing as I thought it would be. Not a big page-turner, in my opinion; but everyone else seems to be enjoying it because the series of books are all best-sellers!

Well, going to go now!
Peace, Love, JC, and JB!

CAMP!!!

Camp...every teens least favorite words. Well at least where I live they were. Until we went to camp.

Last Sunday (July 25th), my fellow schoolmates and I boarded bus, van, and car to go to camp. I was definitely dreading this separation from technology!! I could not watch youtube, Pretty Little Liars, the Secret Life, and most importantly NCIS!!

While at camp, we heard awesome preaching! Bryan Beaver gave us his inspirational words from God two, sometimes even three times a day. I enjoyed hearing what he had to say....he was comedic and serious.

My counselor was absolutely awesome!! She was extremely nice! She called us her favorite campers!! My cabinmates absolutely loved being in her cabin, especially one of my classmates/best friends because of our last counselor. Our last counselor would say "I'm going to brush my teeth, I'll be right back." and leave for hours upon hours! It was refreshing to have someone who actually cared about our spiritual and physical well-being.

I came back from camp with a new mindset. Yes, I did indeed miss my youtube, PLL, Secret Life, and NCIS; but I was able to catch up on it! But the Word of God should always be first and foremost on any Christians list. Thus, I will be trying to read my Bible daily! I will not be as immersed in the Scripture as I am now when I leave for college next year; so I am preparing myself by reading His Word daily. This will also strengthen my walk with Christ!

By the way, my whole school has come back just as revived as I am. We are all willing to show that we have Christ to thank for our happiness because we are walking with Him daily!

SO the point of this story is to share that THIS WAS THE BEST WEEK OF CAMP EVER!!
Oh, and BIG BLUE reigns again!! Yeah, each time I have been to camp my team has one! UNDEFEATED!! :)

This has definitely got to be the best opening to any senior year ever!!

Peace, Love, Jesus Christ, and JB!! ;)
